Welcome to Canada Day in the South Shuswap!

A free, fun-filled intergenerational family event,  South Shuswap Canada Day has been bringing together our communities and visitors alike for the past 35 years.  This all day event held at Centennial Field begins with the Lion’s Club Pancake Breakfast, followed by the Parade, Opening Ceremonies, games, bouncies, live music and entertainment for young and old alike, and ends with a bang when the spectacular display of fireworks are set off.

Parade – The Annual Canada Day Parade Begins on Balmoral Road and 10:00 am an continues along Blind Bay Road to finish at Centennial Field

Centennial Field – Bring the kids to enjoy all of fun activities including face painting, a giant sand box, chalk walk, crafts, a story tent, fireman challenge, “train” rides, kid’s carnival style $0.50 games, bouncy castles and more!  Food vendors of all kinds from Mini Donuts to Shaved Ice to Full Meal trucks will be there.  Also on site are amazing vendors drawing from our large selection of local artisans and craftsmanship to licensed product lines such as Avon.

Entertainment Line Up – Live performances begin at 11:00 am right after opening ceremonies and include: “Michael Mitchell” at 11:30, “Lost N Found” at 1:00 pm, “The Smulmoski Brothers” at 2:30, Rock and Roll, Country, and Blues Band “Island Fogg” at 4:30, The Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band “Breakdown” at 6:00 pm, and finally the Celtic inspired high energy crowd favorite “Cod Gone Wild” at 8:00pm

Fireworks display begins at 10:30 pm
